The Makaton Workshop Level 2 builds on the knowledge gained in Level 1 training and you must have attended a Level 1 Workshop previously. It is recommended for parents/carers who wish to expand their use of Makaton with their family at home, as well as for staff in educational, health, care and leisure settings who want to learn more to help them interact with children and adults who use Makaton.

 

On the workshop, you will learn the signs and symbols from Stages 3 and 4 of the Core Vocabulary and the rest of the Additional Vocabulary.

 

You will receive a Participant's Manual which includes the presentation materials as well as all the signs and symbols for the vocabulary covered in the workshop.

 

You will also receive a Certificate of Attendance. The Certificate of Attendance has no expiry date which means there is no requirement to repeat the Makaton Workshop Level 2 in the future. You will need to keep the certificate if you wish to attend further Makaton training. It is also personal to you so can be used to demonstrate your attendance at a Makaton Workshop Level 2 in future.
