Terms & Conditions

This document outlines how I work, what I charge and our responsibilities to each other should you book on to Makaton training with me, Jo Bryenton Makaton Tutor.

 

By ticking the box on the website booking form, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

 

1. Makaton training prices

a) All prices for Makaton training are as stated on my website and cannot be re-negotiated.

b) These prices are subject to change at any time.

 

2. Booking as an individual

a) To book I require your name, postal and email address, as well as details of any special requirements I need to be 

     aware of to enable you to complete Makaton training successfully e.g. hearing impairments, dietary requirements if I

     am providing refreshments as part of face to face training.

b) You can book via the website or by emailing me.

c) If you book via the website you can pay at the same time.

d) If you book by email you will be asked to do a bank transfer to;

  • ACCOUNT NAME – Jo Bryenton Makaton Tutor

  • ACCOUNT NUMBER – 53111008

  • SORT CODE – 20-26-82

e) Your place is only confirmed once payment and the information detailed at a) has been received.

f) If you confirm you want a place by email and/or book a place via the website, you are contractually obliged to pay the full fee for the Makaton training as stated on the website or by email.

g) Please contact me if you require a receipt to claim the cost of Makaton training back from your organisation.

h) For online training a hard copy of the Participant’s Manual will be posted to your home address BEFORE the training and a Certificate of Attendance AFTER the training.

i) For face to face training a hard copy of the Participant’s Manual which inludes a Certificate of Attendance will be issued to you during the training.

j) It is your responsibility to note the dates and times of the Makaton training you have booked on to and to ensure you can attend ALL of the sessions in their entirety.

k) Makaton training is suitable for those over 16 years of age (with the exception of Makaton Signing for Babies). Those under 16 may be permitted to attend by prior agreement with me ONLY. The full cost of Makaton training still applies to those under 16.

 

3. Booking for organistions

a) To book multiple places on behalf of an organisation I require the names and email addresses of all the participants, as well as details of any special requirements I need to be aware of to enable them to complete Makaton training successfully. For online training, I also require a postal address to send hard copies of the participant’s manual and certificates.

b) It is the responsibility of the person booking multiple places to ensure your representatives can attend the dates and times of the Makaton training you have booked, and/or can attend ALL of the sessions in their entirety. You may send alternative representatives if you wish BUT it is your responsibility to ensure that they are in receipt of the Participant’s Manual BEFORE taking part.

c) You can book multiple places by emailing me. I will issue an invoice either via email as a pdf attachment or as a hard copy to a named individual or department within the organisation. Please provide a Purchase Order Number if you require one to be included on the invoice.

d) Once an invoice has been issued, you are contractually obliged to pay the full fee for the Makaton training as stated on the invoice.

e) Invoices can be paid by bank transfer (see 1d above) or by cheque made payable to Jo Bryenton Makaton Tutor and sent to 44 Wydale Road, Osbaldwick, York, YO10 3PG.

f) My invoice number (stated in RED) must be quoted on all payment/remittance details.

g) My payment terms are 30 days from the date of the invoice. Late payments will incur an additional 25% of the invoice total per week until payment is received.

h) For online training hard copies of the Participant’s Manual will be posted to the organisation address BEFORE the training and a Certificate of Attendance AFTER the training. It is your responsibility to ensure your representatives receive the Manual BEFORE the training.

i) For face to face training hard copies of the Participant’s Manual which includes Certificates of Attendance will be issued during the training.

 

4. Cancellation

a) It is not possible to cancel your place once a booking has been made. No refunds are made for your cancellation.

b) In the event that you are unable to attend Makaton training on the date/time booked, you will be allocated a place on the next appropriate Makaton training.

c) In the event that do not complete a workshop by attending ALL of the sessions, you will be allocated a place on the next appropriate Makaton training to enable you to complete the training.

d) In the unlikely event that I have to cancel Makaton training, I will rearrange at my convenience OR provide a full refund. For organisations, I will rearrange Makaton training to suit us both OR provide a full refund.

 

5. Employment Status

a) I am registered as Self Employed with HMRC.

b) My Unique Tax Reference (UTR) and National Insurance Number are stated on my invoice.

6. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018
